Our extensive range of light emitting components includes industrial IR LEDs, IR Sources, industrial UV LEDs, and colour and white LEDs.
IR radiation can be used for telecommunications, night vision, thermal imaging, smoke detection, target acquisition, surveillance, remote control, astronomy, environmental monitoring, spectroscopy, and scientific and medical instrumentation. machine vision, number plate scanning, and automotive sensing. We offer a wide range of industrial Infrared LEDs (IR LEDs) from leading suppliers.
Axetris IR sources are suitable for compact IR gas detection modules where a high emissivity, high reliability and low power consumption are key requirements. Axetris IR sources are micro-machined, electrically modulated thermal infrared emitters featuring black body radiation characteristics, low power consumption, high emissivity and a long lifetime. They are ideal for portable gas sensing applications.
Applications for UV LEDs range from chromatography, photolithography and curing of various resins to biological studies, environmental monitoring, purification of water, medical diagnostics, instrumentation and life sciences. UVA LEDs tend to be used for curing applications, whereas UVC LEDs are ideal for environmental monitoring, many life science or as a light source for spectroscopy.
For general purpose and lighting applications, we offer a huge range of visible LEDs including high brightness, high CRI, multi chip, single wavelength and multicolour.
White LEDs produce white light in one of two ways: either red, green and blue light (RGB) from individual emitters is mixed together, or a yellow phosphor coating is applied to a single emitter (usually blue). The phosphor approach is usually used for white lighting LEDs as it is simpler to manufacture and drive phosphor-based white LEDs. Phosphor white is also typically more efficient than RGB white and tends to offer much better colour rendering.
Kodenshi supplies several types of phosphor-based white lighting LEDs including COB modules and back light SMD LEDs
