RF & M2M Workshop –

Overview

This workshop is an introduction to RF Communications, to connect wireless sensors to the cloud for remote monitoring and control.

Based around the Digi XBee family this informative workshop will cover the principles of RF communications detailing some of the more common frequencies and protocols used. Participants will leave the workshop with all the knowledge required to start working on an XBee RF application to create solutions for monitoring and controlling sensors remotely.

The workshop is free-of-charge, and attendees will be provided with refreshments and lunch during the course of the day.

Free WiFi access, stationery and training material will be provided.

Development kits and development PCs preloaded with the development tools will also be provided. Participants may be requested to pair up and share a kit and PC for the training.

The training will take place at Solid State Supplies’ offices in Redditch (just south of Birmingham), where there is ample free parking available. The address and directions are can be found here.

This event will be running in conjunction with Digi ConnectCore 6UL System Development Workshop – 22nd March.

What if I cannot come? If you have registered and subsequently cannot attend we ask that you let us know by sending an email to digi@sssltd.com as soon as possible so that we can open the space to another registrant. If you haven’t registered because you can’t make it but would like to be kept informed of future seminars please email us with this request to digi@sssltd.com.

Costs. While the seminar is free, attendees are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.

Cancellation. In the very unlikely event that we have to postpone or cancel the seminar for whatever reason we will try to provide you with as much notice as possible. We take no liability for any travel, accommodation or any other losses incurred by you should we postpone or cancel the seminar.

Kit promotion. Limited to one kit per company, orders must be received no later than two weeks after the workshop. We will aim to dispatch your kit within two weeks of your order. The promotional price includes shipping but excludes VAT.
